New York’s 92nd Street Y is hosting a class on Westerns of the 50s. Hosted by Kurt Brokaw, Associate Teaching Professor at The New School and senior film critic of The Independent magazine, it’s got a really terrific roster of films. The classes are Tuesday nights, beginning April 14, with two films each night.

Wow, I would think every man or woman that follows this blogsite would like to be there for the whole 6 weeks! Absolutely terrific.
I would attend any one of those but Week 4 would be a “special”.
Jerry, I did the same thing — if I could only make it to one week, which one would it be? It was a toss-up between 4 and 6.
An impressive lien-up. I quite like the look of week 3.
All of these films are available on DVD except BLACK HORSE CANYON…
WHY?
Also why are two of McCrea’s other Universal Fifties Westerns not
available as well.(SADDLE TRAMP,THE LONE HAND)
Those three movies alongside WELLS FARGO (a Paramount film that
Universal own) would make an awesome Joel McCrea (unreleased)
Western Collection.
