Wondered if anybody out there had been to Hoppyland. Then I realized it had been gone for nearly 70 years.

Toby, looks like we are in the pre-Disneyland years of the early 1950’s. I’m not old enough, or lived in that neck of the woods, to have visited Hoppyland, although some of my California relatives may have.

I just bought this series starring William Boyd called THE LOST CITY.Haven’t watched it yet.

“THE LOST CITY” starred William ‘Stage’ Boyd. He was often confused with the better-known Boyd who played Hoppy. There is an interesting account on Imdb which relates how that confusion very nearly crashed Hoppy’s career. ‘Stage’ Boyd died in 1935 of alcohol and drug abuse.
