Critics’ Choice has a new William Elliott set out that looks pretty promising, with three pictures from 1941. These Columbia B’s, with Elliott teamed with the great Dub Taylor as Cannonball, are pretty terrific.

An ex-con is looking revenge on the two men who sent him to prison. One of them is Wild Bill Hickok (William Elliott).

I just watched 2 of Bill Elliot films from the WB set yesterday.More of his films on DVD are always welcome. There is a release of his films in Germany, but sadly no English.
Graham, are these DVD-R’s from Warner Archives? Also, do they have Columbia titles, or are they Astor Pictures, or Gail Films?
Walter,looks like they’re Republic films.7 in total.
Graham, really? I thought they might be Monogram/Allied Artists,
Well, firstly a big thank you to Critics Choice for really going outside the box by releasing 3 of Elliott’s good Columbia series. I hope the set will be region-free and that I won’t need to rob a bank to import it.
Great news!
So far, this Critics’ Choice/Mill Creek/Columbia tag team is resulting in some great stuff. I’ve been wallowing in Jungle Jim pictures lately.
Toby, I’ll second Jerry in thanking Critic’s Choice/Mill Creek/Columbia for putting these really good William Elliott Westerns out for us at affordable prices. I hope they keep coming.
Looks, like no preview. sorry.
