My family visited Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello yesterday. In a home filled with incredible stuff, his revolving bookstand knocked me out. Imagine, five books ready and waiting.
I’d seen it before, but being in the middle of writing a book, I can really appreciate what a fabulous tool this is. A search this morning revealed that the one available in the Monticello gift shop for $600 is not the most expensive around. I also found that you can build your own — or should I say that someone with some sort of aptitude with tools and wood and such can build their own — using this video and set of plans. That probably leaves me out.
