Thanks to Laura for the tip.
I was glad to get the recent Sidonis DVD of this great Western
presented in stunning widescreen. For those who cannot cope
with those “forced” subtitles I believe Llamentol in Spain have also
released this title.
Speaking of Laura,I thought her Coleen Gray tribute was wonderful.
This great actress who turned 90 yesterday has lots of fans on this
site too.I liked the comments from the person who like me, admires
THE LEECH WOMAN a very underrated Universal Horror. Film manages
to be both campy and chilling and owes much to Coleens fine performance.
Coleen is the sort of actress who could elevate the most routine of
material and has a host of interesting TV credits too.
Thanks so much for the mention, Toby, and the kind words, John K. So glad you enjoyed my Coleen Gray post.
I’m very happy that a friend of hers contacted me to say he’ll be sharing my post with her when he sees her in a few days — so glad my appreciation for her work will reach her.
Looking forward to catching THE LEECH WOMAN in the future! As well, of course, as Red Sundown.
Best wishes,
Laura
Thanks for the tip on a great western I would have missed. I keep the Westerns Channel only for those unknown films that you always seem to flag!
Glad you were able to catch it. That’s one the certainly deserves to be seen by more people. The early sequence in the burning cabin knocked me out.
