Here’s Lorne Greene, Linda Cristal and Jock Mahoney in Last Of The Fast Guns (1958), a CinemaScope Universal Western from George Sherman. This film really needs to make its way to DVD.

With all the talk about this movie here I finaly watched it over the weekend. It was a good Western, I would have liked if Jock Mahoney’s character had more of a sense of humor. I don’t think he smiled once. Maybe I’m too used to Bill Elliott. It had a twist ending, I thought Lorne Greene was the guy he wanted. Mine was in widescreen format from a AMC broadcast, back when they were commercial free. It had my main requirements though for a good Western, it was made in the ’50′s and it was in color. Check. That’s all I needed to know.
Forgot to menion, a young Linda Cristal, who played the wife in the “High Chaparral” series, is in the movie as the comely daughter.
