By the way, Pony Express (1953) starring Charlton Heston as Cody (and Forrest Tucker as Wild Bill Hickock) will be making its way to DVD later this month.
Heston – possibly not noted as a Western actor? – made several good Westerns: Will Penny; The Big Country (a favourite of mine); Major Dundee; The Last Hard Men; The Mountain Men; … all the way back to the Savage.
