This just in (thanks, Paula). John Ford’s Wagon Master (1950) will be screened December 28, 29 and 30 as part of the Museum Of Modern Art’s An Auteurist History Of Film exhibition.
They say New York is a very special place around the holidays. Indeed.

We New Yorkers just call it MoMA … with a $25 ticket price, they don’t deserve an article. They’re having a stellar cinema month, keeping me busy with a full Henri-Georges Clouzot retrospective and a short series of rare-ish Italian films next week.
Stephen, are you going to the Wagon Master screenings? I plan to be there on the 29th and 30th.
Paula: ‘Fraid not. Only planning to brave Christmas-week midtown for a couple of the rare films in their Italian series. Enjoy, though.
