Just dawned on me that October marks the second anniversary of this blog. Seems like a good time to rest a spell on the Joel McCrea bench in Camarillo, CA. One of these days, I will sit on that bench.

A big congratulations, Toby!! In some ways it doesn’t seem possible it’s only been two years — you’ve become such a wonderful part of the classic film blogging community and a good friend.

I’ll add my congratulations, Toby. It’s been great the last few months to find a blog like yours where someone cares so much and is so appreciative of this richly deserving subject. The genre needs all of us that can give it its due and you are doing more than your share.
And I must say you have a wonderful crowd of people following this, some of whom have appealing blogs of their own I’ve become aware of because of yours. It’s sometimes said civility doesn’t rule in web discussions, but in this group there seems much good will and fellow feeling.
Here’s to meeting up one of these days, and that Joel McCrea bench would be an ideal place.
