In a recent comment, John Knight mentioned Stage To Tucson (1950), a Rod Cameron picture produced by Harry Joe Brown and shot in the Alabama Hills.
Reminded me of its gorgeous poster art. Wonder who painted that one?

Wow! What a beautiful poster. A work of art in its own right. Thanks for sharing that.
STAGE TO TUCSON appeared a few posts back on my Columbia/
Sony wish list.No sign of that one yet but I was very pleased to see
that one of my wishes has come true namely Don Siegels
EDGE OF ETERNITY which is due early next month.
As I stated before its a thriller in a Western setting with Cornel Wilde
as a modern day sheriff. In color and widescreen with Siegels usual
style this is not to be missed!
Good to see Columbia/Sony getting back to putting out MODs on a more
regular basis.
Also included in the next batch is 13 WEST STREET a latter day Alan
Ladd which seems like it was the template for Death Wish.
Columbia/Sony have certainly been in the doldrums recently but they
have some sure fire box office certs in their 2012 releases.
There is their re-boot of the Spider-Man franchise and Men In Black 3.
Most anticipated of all,for me anyway is Tarantinos “Django Unchained.”
With that trio almost sure to clean up hopefully we will see more
Westerns released from Sony in their MOD series.
In the last few batches of releases the Sam Katzman titles have been
sorely missed;by me at least! I am beginning to wonder if I am the
only nutter on the Planet (apart from Toby!) who actually likes that
stuff.
I don’t remember seeing this movie, but I might have. I was hooked on westerns all the while growing up in the 50′s.
What a gorgeous poster! Thanks from me too for posting it. Wow.
