In her book, Miss Russell says Paulette Goddard used that same tub in a picture (DeMille’s Madame Satan?). By the way, DeMille has a cameo in Jane’s tub sequence. DeMille seemed to have a thing about tubs.

I think the film was Unconquered (1947). I know this only because I found a photo from that and used it here when I mentioned a pair of Goddard essays in a post.
