Just saw that 50 Westerns From The 50s got its 10,000th hit today.
As one of Robert Ryan’s freaks said in The Wild Bunch (1969), “This is better than a hog killin’!” Thanks to everyone that clicked, linked or whatever.

Congrats on another milestone there Toby – keep ‘em coming.
BTW, a little tidbit I noticed today: There’s a “restored” version of Allan Dwan’s Silver Lode due on May 25.

Thanks for tossing me a topic for another post!
Another that may interest you – Timeless are releasing Audie Murphy’s “Whispering Smith” on April 20.

OK, I know it’s not a movie but I thought it was worth mentioning.
As far as I can see from the VCI Website the only extras are audio features on Allan Dwan and John Payne though
the film I understand has been remastered. Payne and Dan Duryea also teamed in the outstanding Film Noir “Larceny” which deserves to be far more well known than it is.This is the sort of film Universal ought to be releasing in their “Vault” series.Their reteaming in the Western “Rails Into Laramie” is pretty routine. Payne in general deserves far more recognition for the outstanding Film Noirs he made with directors Dwan, Phil Karlson, Robert Florey and Byron Haskin.
On the recently issued French Allan Dwan Box Set I understand there are interviews with surviving Silver Lode cast members Stuart Whitman and Harry Carey Jr. Thanks for a great Website,Toby!
I’m becoming a bigger and bigger Dwan fan these days. I’ll have to look into that French set. Thanks for the tip.
